Schools Out!

Well, I thought I’d post a quick summary of the end of school which ended on May 30th. The year was good and I can’t believe how fast it went.

Tyler finished 4^th grade and had a really nice and PATIENT teacher. He finished with all A’s and received an award for perfect attendance and a certificate for participating in the reading program, the “Hall of Fame”. Field day was also the last week of school and he finished 2^nd in his class for the running event which qualified him for the finals where he took 5^th.

Lauren also finished 2^nd grade with great grades, all “O”s…same as A’s but they don’t grade the younger grades on a A-F scale. She received a top speller award in her class and gold medal for being the top reader for her grade by completing the reading challenge 7 times. She too finished 2^nd in her class for field day in the running event and finished 4^th for her grade.

McKenna graduated from pre-school and is sad to be done with school. She cried all the way home. She LOVED school. She is starting to read now and loves books. She is pretty excited to know how all these letters work. She also received a reading award for being the only pre-school student to complete the reading challenge, and she completed it 8 times!

We are really proud of all the kids and their accomplishments. I’m so glad they all love school and want to be there. We have already been busy with summer activities and know it will pass all too quickly.
