Halloween Day

Halloween day this year was the BEST! The weather was perfect. It was the first year we were able to go out without coats covering up cute costumes. It was just cool enough that you stayed comfortable and not too warm. It couldn't have been nicer.

The day started off with McKenna's parade and class party. Then the older kids had their parade and class parties. Afterwards we headed to Chris' work to trick-or-treat and then came home to hit the neighborhood.

It is so much fun to see all the cute kids dressed up at school. There were some pretty great costumes. There was this darling little girl in McKenna's class that was dressed up like Minnie Mouse so I had to take a picture of the two Minnies. (But don't call Brooklynn just Minnie, or she'll correct you and say, "No, Minnie MOUSE"!)
My favorite costume of all though had to be a kid that Tyler played football with last year, Ethan. A picture is worth a thousand words. Isn't he great!We trick-or-treated around our neighborhood with friends of ours, Heather & Sara. Brooklynn and Sara were so cute. They held hands between houses and were just really cute together. This year Tyler decided that he was old enough to go by himself with friends. So Tyler, Spencer & Matthew went out by themselves. It was a little hard on Chris and I, but we're trying to give him a little independence. He took a cell phone and we called him about a dozen times. He felt pretty cool being able to go by himself.
