Out of the mouths of babe...part 2

My week is getting better and better.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene: I'm trying to parallel park Chris' car on the street. Operative word here "trying".

Tyler: Mom, how did you ever get your driver's license if you can't park a car!

(I'll admit, parallel parking, is not my area of expertise. Usually, Chris doesn't let me parallel park because I can't ever do it right.)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene: McKenna and I in the car going to pick up Tyler.

McKenna: I'm glad Tyler is close so we can get back home soon. Well, unless you do your yap, yap, yapping thing, then it'll take forever.

(Do I really talk this much? Am I that person every one avoids because they are afraid of being "trapped"? I'm sorry.)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene: Watching the finale of DWTS with Lauren

Lauren: Wow! Brooke is old!

Me: She is not, she's my age!

(Technically she is two years older, but still. What I wouldn't give to look like her.)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene: I'm playing the piano and trying to muddle my way through a piece we are singing for choir. Trying, in the privacy and comfort of my own home, to hit the really really high notes that only an opera singer can reach. Meanwhile, the kids are playing and laughing in the background. All of the sudden it gets really quiet behind me. I turn around and look at all three older kids who are completely silent and then suddenly they burst out laughing...at me!

Me: What?

Tyler & Lauren: Well, it's just that we've never heard you sing before.

Me: Of course you have, I sing every Sunday and I sing in the choir!

Tyler & Lauren: We've never heard you sing like that before.

(Ok, so it was really bad. Cat-in-heat bad. The notes are high I'm tellin' ya. But in my defense, I do have a cold...although that doesn't explain the rest of the times I try to sing. But hello, that's why I was doing it at home. By the way, I am NOT singing most of the notes in that song. I'm going to lip sync. Sorry, but its best for every one involved.)

I can't parallel park either. I hate it. I avoid going places where I know I will have to parallel park, unless Scott can drive. Very sad. And some of the high notes in those church hymns really are insane. Who can sing that high?!? This is your cousin Scott's wife, Emily, by the way. :)

I love your new layout!! Your pictures are beautiful, you all look so stunning!

I have to say I've been reading all your posts from the last couple of weeks (I've been a little behind lately) and I have been cracking up. I don't think you're a 'yacker' - and if you are, you're one I'd love to talk to all the time! =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope your feast was great! I am stuffed liked a turkey! The feast at my house was wonderful!

McKenna cracks me up! I don't think you yap, yap, yap too much. McKenna is 5. How many 5 year olds do you know that spend any amount of time yapping?! It's more like, smile, cry, whine, pout, laugh and 'I love you mommy!' :o)
Love ya!
Mom :o)

That was a fun post. I loved the yap, yap, yapping comment. Not that I agree with it but it was funny! I love your pictures.
