German Pancakes
6 T butter, melted
1 C flour
1/2 t salt
6 eggs
1 C milk
Heat oven to 425 degrees (maybe a little less for a glass pan)
Beat eggs, add flour, milk and salt and blend with a whisk. Whisk in melted butter. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake until puffed up and golden on top - up to 25 minutes. Cut and serve with syrup or jam. We had them with syrup, powdered sugar, lemon juice, apricot jam, strawberry freezer jam, marionberry jam and brown sugar. Not all at once, well Tyler did, but the rest of us tried one or just a couple.
We made two batches and every one LOVED them. Chris' mom used to make these for him when he was a kid only they called them Dutch Babies. He's made them before but it has been a while.

That looks delicious! I guess we will have to try it! With all those eggs it looks like pudding bread!
I am super excited to try these, yumm!
Yup, we love these things around here. I use them for a quick dinner on a fairly regular basis. Bless the person that invented this dish!
Once upon a time I had this at a Beehive activity and our leader called it Hootenanny.
Also, Q and B insist on eating it ASAP, while it's still puffy.
