Easter Sunday...almost

I know it's not quite Easter yet but being ready for church on time, let alone early, is a rare thing around here. So I took their picture in case Easter Sunday doesn't work out as smoothly. This probably sounds ridiculous to anyone but me but this was a really difficult experience for me. One of the things I am pretty set-in-my-ways about is having everyone matching for Easter and Christmas. I'm weird about being all identical matchy-matchy. I'm ok with other families doing it and think they look cute, but for me, I prefer to have all three girls match...exactly. I tried once a couple of years ago and bought different colors, but all the same dress. I wasn't super happy about it. So this year, my mom sent Lauren a really cute outfit and Lauren wanted it to be her Easter dress. I said that was fine and thought I'd try to branch out this year and find similar dresses or at least the same color of dresses for the other two girls. That didn't work out and I really was stressed about it. I didn't want to spend a fortune and it's getting harder to find matching dresses that aren't too juvenile for Lauren and too old for Brooklynn or even matching dresses in all three sizes. So, in a moment of weakness, I let Chris talk me into...gasp, choke....letting the girls...gasp...pick...out...gasp...their own dresses! I actually liked the dresses they chose and thought they looked cute in them. And, they don't clash horribly. But they don't match either. I guess I will live through it. On another note, McKenna let me take an unbearably long time to do her hair that morning which I thought was cute.
