I almost forgot about these...

I haven't downloaded my camera in a while and forgot about these pictures. I was able to go to McKenna's Bowling fieldtrip a few weeks ago...thanks in part to a wonderful neighbor and friend who took Brooklynn for me. (Thanks Katie!) McKenna was so excited to go bowling and talked about it everyday and counted down each one. Finally the day came and we went. As soon as we got there, she decided she didn't like bowling as much as she thought she would. I think the ball was a little too heavy for her and she could barely throw it so it took a while to reach the pins (average bowling speed was 1.78 mph) and, being a lefty, she always has a harder time grasping things the first time when everything is geared to righthanders. It even takes me time to remember. So poor girl, I taught her how to throw right-handed and half-way through I remembered, duh, she might do better if I have her throw it left-handed. In the end, we mostly did a kind of granny bowl, two-handed. We had fun, even if a bunch of 5 year olds can bowl better than me.
Our little group with McKenna's teacher and another mom.

The two-handed granny method.

Looks like a strike to me!

The right-handed method...not the best.
