The past month has been crazy! We have been pretty busy and we've all been sick. We almost didn't get our Halloween costumes done. In fact, we were so busy getting Tyler's Egyptian costume done, we didn't get his Halloween costume figured out. Part of it was that he is getting too old to dress up and couldn't decide what to be. Finally, at about 7:00pm on Thursday night he decided on something and after running to four different stores and calling a couple others, we struck out. So we stayed up until almost midnight trying to figure something out for school the next morning. Hence this:
Tonight, we started trick-or-treating about 5:30 and had beautiful weather. It didn't get cold until the last 1/2 hour and the kids filled their buckets by 7:30 so we called it a night.
Today we did some more running around and found the things we needed to put together the costume he wanted.
Lauren - Gothic Fairy
McKenna - Ladybug
Brooklynn - one of the princesses (Princess Lacey) from Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. But shhh! Don't tell her it's the Princess Genevieve dress. They don't make a Princess Lacey costume. She would get so upset anytime someone would call her just a princess. She'd say, "I'm a Barbie 12 Dancing Princess!"

I loved all the costumes! Even Roxie is dressed up! How cute! I was not prepared to see Lauren look so diva looking! Yikes! :oO

We had about 70 trick or treaters, most between 10 and 15! The little ones were so cute! Kirsten got excited every time the doorbell rang! She loved hearing the kids voices!
You're such a cute Halloween family! I love that you and Chris dress up too. Maybe one day we'll get it together enough in time to have Jordan and Lisa costumes too. And also, how old is Lauren these days? Fifteen is it? Maybe it's the lipstick, but she just looks so much older! Well, everyone looked great, beekeeper, I love it!
Wow, absolutely awesome costumes, and what a laugh that the dog was even wearing something!!!
