New Moon Mania

On the outside, I'm a 30-something stay-a-home-mom who couldn't be further from cool, but on the inside, I'm a 15-yr. old crushing on a fictional character. I'm not going to deny it, I loved the books. Not because they are literary masterpieces, but because they were fun.

So Friday, my friends and neighbors, Kelly & Beth hosted a New Moon party before watching the movie. They did a great job and it was a lot of fun. Kelly's mom rented out a whole theater and sold the tickets to 200 of their closest friends. It was so nice not having to wait in any lines and show up right before it started. We didn't even have to sit through previews! Before we left for the party we started with a D-Lish dinner...so yummy. We played the "Guess who I am" game where you wear a sticker on your back with the name of a character from the book and ask questions to figure out who you are. I was Leah.

Next we played New Moon Bingo and I won a candy bar.
Then we took a quiz, well, I didn't because I was too busy making my t-shirt...but I'm pretty sure I would have failed anyway. Because, no, I didn't know that Edwards eyes were Green before he was a vampire. :0)
After dinner we left for the movie. Our group had about 25 or so people. It was a very fun night and the movie was WAY better than the first.

Me and my sister Julie...a house divided.
You can't tell from the picture, but I wore lots of glitter. Ya, I'm cool like that.

Disclaimer: I am totally Team Edward because that's who I was for when I first read the books. I wanted her to be bitten from the first chapter! However, I am not a fan of movie Edward. This movie, wow, it's hard to be Team Edward with Jacob roaming around....enough said. Grrrr.

AAAAACCCKK!!!! I'm SO SO SO jealous that I'm almost gagging here all by my lonesome. Firstly because you got to go to the worlds most awesome New Moon party/viewing experience ever!!!! And secondly because it was both you AND Julie, I want to do fun things with my sisters! This living 900 miles away from you ladies just isn't working for me anymore.
And I still don't get to see the movie until tomorrow!
Well, jealousy aside, I love your T-shirts and I'm so proud of you for wearing glitter. Love you!

Wow! Cool party! I'm so glad you and Julie went together! And Lisa, you'll be down there next summer. Right? Right! Oh the fun you'll have! I am not going to see this movie. I'm glad to hear that it's better than the first movie. I'm with Michelle, (readers please don't hate me) I am not enthralled with who plays Bella and Edward. Sorry. Edward (in my mind) is so much more manly and handsome! This actor is too pretty to be Edward. The actress who is Bella is a dud. My Bella is much better. Sorry folks. We are all entitled to our imaginations!

Perhaps we could somehow arrange to do it in Oregon, wink, wink!

Hi Jen/Fellow Twi-Mom

I'm Loretta's friend in New Zealand - she told me about your huge NM pre-party so I just had to have a look.

W-O-W. =D

Did Loretta tell you she, my 7 yr old son and I went to the Twilight and NewMoon double feature (first viewing)? Got home at 2.30am!

Regards
Julia
