In other news, Tyler attended his first Boy Scout Court of Honor where he received two merit badges that he earned at a pow wow in October. He has also been working on requirements for his Tenderfoot. It's a whole new world now and I feel like I had finally just gotten a handle on Cub Scouts!

Lauren just finished Drama and thoroughly enjoyed it. They performed "Cowboys and Mummies". We watched her performance yesterday and she did a great job. She's a natural for sure...I just wish she'd save it all for the stage!
McKenna is falling apart. I'm afraid someone might think she is being abused. First of all, she has become a ridiculously picky eater and hardly eats at all. Combine that with her new-found addiction to running and I am pretty sure she's lost a few pounds. She runs about 2-3 miles a day at school. They run laps at school and she runs between 20-30 laps a day. I think it is about 8-9 laps = 1 mile. Last night she was playing on the swingset and somehow fell off and landed on her nose. By the time she got to me crying it was already bruised and swollen. However, according to our pediatricians office and the Instacare they both said stay home for a week until the swelling goes down. Then today, she collided with another kid running laps and hit her eyebrow and got a big lump. So poor little girl is complete wreck.

Brooklynn is doing her best to ensure that she will be too smart for preschool. She can almost write her whole name, knows all her shapes and colors, can count to at least 20, can count objects, recite the ABC's and is starting to identify letters. Blasted educational TV. Her vocabulary is really growing lately and she uses some big words that make me laugh to hear them from such a little person.
Roxy is growing bigger all the time and is eating us out of house and home...literally, ok well maybe just my backyard. If we survive this chewing puppy stage it'll be a miracle. She's really good in the house (except for the garbage) but outside she chews up everything in sight. She has chewed up my park bench, her dog house, a tv cable, the dryer vent, two scooters, the trampoline pad, probably 200 tomatoes, all the walnuts off the tree, lots of cucumbers, two buckets, a garbage can lid, a metal pot, a rosebush, a hibiscus tree, two peach trees, 1 unidentified bush, the sandbox lid, the black plastic from my flowerbeds, a sled, the lawnmower bag, a couple of terra cotta pots, a table, one of Chris' scarecrows, two pairs of my slippers and my garden shoes. Those are the things that come to mind anyway. She's cute but I hope we survive.

It's sad how much of a newsflash this post is to me. But I also heard that Tyler got an award at his football team party...details please!
I love your posts!
Congratulations Tyler! Now he can put his Scout notebook to use! Yes, what was his fotball award?
Good job Lauren! Poor McKenna! Oh my goodness! Are you giving her vitamin C? It's great for bruises! Brooklynn looks so much like her Grandpa Gleed's Scandanavian side!
Roxy is so beautiful. Maybe she needs a head guard so she can't chew up your yard! You have such a beautiful family! :o)
Poor McKenna!!! Get that girl a plastic bubble for a little bit, at LEAST until the swelling goes down alright? Congrats to Tyler and Lauren (who looks cute as a button in her costume by the way). I'm with you on that educational programming, sometimes I think that Matilda is getting smarter than I am!
Tells ya how out of the loop I am, I had know idea about McKenna, Morgan hasn't even said anything. Poor girl, I mean poor Michelle. You never cease to amaze me and all the things you do. Good luck with dumbing Brooklyn down before next year, lol. She just can't get above a 70 (I think) and she still will have a chance of getting in.
Love reading your "news" about the family! Love reading about Tyler and Boy Scouts! Kaleb has just earned his Arrow of Light at Cub Scouts and should receive it next week! We'll be starting the new phase (boys scouts) soon!
Doesn't sound like much slowing down lol. Congrats to Tyler, Lauren and Brooklynn. Hope McKenna heals soon. And did Roxy really chew through ALL of that stuff? Crazy dog! Do you have anything left in your backyard?
