Lauren also worked very hard to earn the "Talon's Feather" award. This award requires several hours of service that must be completed during school hours, memorizing some important quotes, memorizing some Utah history, participating in extra curricular activities and writing an essay on responsibility and respect. Some of the things Lauren did were volunteering during her recesses in the kindergarten classes, helping the special ed classes, cleaning and serving in the cafeteria, picking up litter on the playground, helping the computer teacher, etc.

Tyler also earned an award that we didn't know about until the day of the assembly. The President's Outstanding Excellence Award for Academics. This is from the President of the United States and is given to students who achieve 90% or better in every subject. We were very proud of Tyler for having such great grades. He's had nearly straight A's since Kindergarten with just one or two B's.
