While they were here, they took the older grand-kids (Tyler, Lauren, Quintin and Brynnly) up to Salt Lake to see some sights. Lauren took a camera and did an excellent job of documenting the ENTIRE trip. I felt like I was right there! However, I thought all 157 pictures were a bit much to post here. (And, sshhhh! don't tell Lauren, but a lot of them were blurry). From what I hear, they all had a fantastic time and saw lots of sights. They started off at Temple Square and visited a new exhibit that just opened up. It's a replica of the Salt Lake City Temple inside and out and is pretty impressive from what I've heard. They also visited the Visitors centers and enjoyed those exhibits as well.
This is a picture that is hanging in the visitors center. This man is on the TOP of the TEMPLE shortly after it was completed!! With no safety gear or anything. That is crazy!!
Time out for a funny story. Apparently Grandpa asked the kids if they knew who was in this picture. I guess Tyler said Noah and when Grandpa asked him how he knew that he said, "Because he is building a boat and he has a big fat ax". Try saying that out loud and you will see why Grandpa thought Tyler might have said something different that "ax". After clearing up the miss-communication they all had a good laugh over it. Incidentally the exact same picture was brought up during primary on Sunday and Tyler gave the exact same answer with a nearly identical response. We have since discussed that he needs to find a different way to identify Noah...perhaps just stick to the boat. After Temple Square they headed to the Bingham Copper Mines. Everyone was impressed with the size of the mines and the vehicles. Here the kids are standing next to one of the tires and below is a shot of the mines.

I don't have any pictures but later that day Grandma took Brooklynn and McKenna to Farr's for Ice Cream since they didn't get to go to Salt Lake. They all had a wonderful time and enjoyed our long visit with Grandma and Grandpa. THANK YOU!
