This was the third time Lauren has completed the RadKids training program at our school. We have watched Tyler complete it twice, McKenna once and now Lauren three times and every time I still get choked up during the simulation thinking about these kids needing to use this someday. I pray they never do but it is comforting to know they have this training to fall back on. Whenever the kids ask to walk somewhere and I tell them no, they always come back with "Mom, I've done RadKids, I'll be fine". If only it were that simple. We have a great program at our school with passionate instructors. If you don't have it at your school, you should go talk to your principal and get involved!! Our PTA sponsors the program and it's worth every dime!

Oh good, I thought I was the only one who got choked up during the simulation. I've only been through it 3 times, but I still get just as teary with each. So grateful they have this program at our school.
