Christmas Nativity

This is probably the best Christmas decoration ever. This little wooden nativity puzzle was definitely a labor of love. Several years ago my sister brought me this pattern and asked if I could cut one out. My mom had also seen it and wanted one too. I thought, what the heck, while I'm at it, I should cut one out for myself. My sister took hers home and painted it and it looked so good. She scared me right out of wanting to paint mine. My mom who claims she can't paint asked Julie to paint hers for her. This past May when my mom came to visit, she and Julie worked on it and finished my moms. I still had no interest in trying to paint in such detail and just gave up on ever seeing mine completed. My mom took pity on me and took mine home with her and painted it over the summer and mailed it to me. Lest you think me super lazy for not painting my own, remember, I cut out three of these on the scroll saw and it wasn't a walk in the park. And, my tole painting days were over in the mid-late 90's...that ship has sailed folks. Let's just say "one too many Super Saturdays!" I digress, anyway my kids have loved this and Brooklynn literally played with it every day. It was so cute to see her laying on the floor playing in an imaginary land with all her little people and the animals. It made the wait worth it. Thanks Mom for hours of entertainment this season!

You are so very welcome! It was a labor of love and I fretted and worried if it would turn out half as good as Julie's! It did turn out good, huh? Julie was a good tutor! I'm so happy the girls loved it!♥
