The day started off really good. Brooklynn was excited about Dads and Donuts and looking forward to getting her hair cut after school. However, just before school ended, I got a phone call that she had tripped at recess and had a pretty good bump on her head. I wasn't planning on going down because it wasn't my day to drive, but it was a nice day and I knew my friend was walking the kids home and thought Brooklynn might not be in any condition to walk home. When I got there she was sitting on the couch with her teacher and an ice pack. When she pulled it away, I gasped and was shocked at how HUGE it was! Brooklynn was pretty brave and didn't even start crying until I got there and even then it was only a whimper. I wish the pictures I took could do it justice because it was much worse than the pictures. The first one was taken after a good half hour-45 minutes of ice.

As the week has progressed, the swelling has sort of spread out giving her a nice Frankenstein forehead and two black eyes. This picture really is washed out. I took about 20 to try and capture it but couldn't. Stupid camera! She still looks pretty beat up. This is day 4.

Poor girl. Like I mentioned before, she was supposed to get her hair cut after school. I called and canceled because I didn't think she'd be in any mood to have her hair cut. However, after we iced her head she really wanted to go get it cut. So I called back and asked if we could come over. Brooklynn has really liked her new hair cut and so have I. NO MORE TANGLES!!! Oh, and I was on the fence about cutting bangs but when I walked into school and saw her bump, I immediately decided bangs were a must!

Poor Baby! That is the biggest head bump I have ever seen, I'm glad she's okay! And her new haircut is very pretty.
Oh my goodness, what a bump:(
Oh my goodness! That is quite a bump! Poor little sweetheart! Give her a big kiss for me! ♥ I LOVE her new haircut and those cute bangs! She's adorable! ♥
Wow that is a goose egg. I hope she is feeling better. I love the hair cut so cute. This morning I was thinking about when we lived just across the lawn from each other and how fun that was. Miss being that close of distance away. Have fun with those chicks- They are really cute.
