So for some reason, they don't do a 6th grade graduation ceremony at our school. Instead, they have a party. I'm sure the kids prefer that anyway. So we had t-shirts for all the kids to sign, an ice cream sundae bar, awards, water kickball and a giant water fight. The kids all had a blast and it was pretty low maintenance as they mostly took care of themselves and we didn't have any fights, tears or injuries. Oh, except for the city park maintenance guys who weren't exactly thrilled about all the mud we created. Oops.

I can't believe the year is already over and I will have another Jr. High student. Yikes. She is beyond ready and a little too excited to grow up.

What a great idea for the kids! I even like that better than graduation! They look like they had fun!
