This year was 100% whatever you want to be. Certainly was a lot less stressful though and all the kids are happy. I don't even really try with the older two anymore but the younger two I still try and persuade. I did everything I could to try and convince/bribe Brooklynn to be Merida from Brave but she wasn't having any of it. Since January she has wanted to be Rapunzle but I was having trouble finding a costume that I both liked and could afford. So I made the mistake of taking her to the costume store and a Bride was suddenly her DREAM costume! Tyler of course is "too cool" to dress up, Chris and I threw ours together last minute as usual and McKenna and Lauren have both been planning for months.
