I want to be just like you!

Today I was running errands and had to shop for (heaven forbid) a new swimsuit. I have seriously put it off for at least 6 years or more. I bought my last one when Lauren was 2! But that's another post. Anyway, while I was in the dressing room, Brooklynn hopped out of the cart and immediately got naked and started trying on all the suits I had brought in. It was so funny and cute and just reminded me of a song I heard the other day. Some of the words are waaayyyyy corny, but I liked the gist of the song. (PS - Yes, I know she looks like a shaggy dog and I have tried cutting it once, but everything just falls forward. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to do ponytails this morning.)

Driving through town just my boy and me
With a happy meal in his booster seat

I hit my brakes and mumbled under my breath

That started with "s" and I was concerned

We got back home and I went to the barn
I bowed my head and I prayed real hard
Said Lord please help me help my stupid self
Then this side of bedtime later that night
Turning on my son's Scooby Doo nightlight
He crawled out of bed and he got down on his knees
He closed his little eyes, folded his little hands
And spoke to God like he was talking to a friend
And I said son now where'd you learn to pray like that
