Mother's Day
So today was Mother's Day. The kids, and Chris, have been scurrying around hiding little gifts and cards for the past few days. It has been cute to watch. Lauren was particularly upset yesterday as we drove around running errands because she was SURE that her flower (that I wasn't supposed to know about) was going to die while we were gone. It didn't. I woke up to the smell of bacon this morning and Chris brought me breakfast in bed. Not only is breakfast in bed a nice treat, but anything more than cereal, is really nice. It seems we are too busy these days for anything more than that. Anyway, the kids all showered me with their gifts which were all so cute. My favorite though was the gift the kids got from their primary activity yesterday. I posted two pictures since there was a blinding glare. I love this gift!! Then, McKenna gave me this cute little glass vase filled with jelly beans and a little bouquet made out of hand prints with a little poem attached that she made in her primary class. She was so excited to give it to me. She ran into Relief Society and showed me and then asked if she could hang on to it for me. By the time she finally gave it back to me to keep, the jelly beans were gone. Aside from a small fist fight from Brooklynn in the nursery, it was a nice day. I don't know the whole story but it was with a new girl in nursery and I'm sooo sorry. Now instead of trying to get to know the new sister, I'll probably run and hide, mortified that I have the nursery "bully".
