Sunflowers

I see tall, golden sunflowers
Rising like giant lollipops
In my grandmas garden.
Fuzzy, happy flowers.
Happy sunflowers all day long.

Also, lately Brooklynn has decided to announce when she is happy. Out of the blue, she'll just say, "I'm happy now". Sometimes after a tantrum, she'll let us know that it's over and she is "Happy Now". Always accompanied by a really cheesy, toothy grin. The other day after a really horrendous shopping trip to Costco (in which 3 of 4 children were bawling uncontrollably) we tried to calm her down and through tears and sobs she blubbered out, "I-I-I-I-'m-m-m-m-m snif snif snif H-h-h-a-a-a-p-p-p-y-y-y-y snif snif snif N-n-n-o-o-o-w-w-w-w!!" and tried unsuccessfully to smile.
So through the tears and gloomy feelings of today, I'll think about happy sunflowers and be "Happy Now"! :0)

Way to go for deciding to be happy. Whenever I'm feeling good and glowery and the thought crosses my mind that I would be happier if I changed my attitude and decided to be, it only serves to make me even grouchier. Here's hoping you're feeling a little more sunshine on your shouldery!
Oh! And thanks for the summer ideas, I really do appreciate it! And that's not sarcasm this time:)
That is so cute of Brooklyn! I had to smile at the kids crying in Costco. Not because I would enjoy that myself. Just because I think mothers everywhere understand.
Michelle, you're in the 'norm'. It's called...'Motherhood!' :o)
That's so precious about Brooklynn! :o) I should send you dad's little crate with the eyeball at the top and it shouts,
'Let me out!' Or I should get you one of thoe 'laughing boxes'! They always crack me up! I'm reading A Sort of A Saga by Bill Mauldin and my stomach is sore from all the laughing! It's a sure cure for you!
Smile! You're loved!
Mom :o)
Oh,how cute! I love the, "I'm happy now". I think I will use that also. Cute blog. Sorry about Costco, we've all been there (more than once) and can sympathize.
