Bad things come in threes, right?

So I've heard anyway. Well, I hope that's true.

#1 - About three weeks ago, my vacuum broke. It wasn't a big deal since I have mostly all hardwood floors and don't use it daily. However, I had just spent $40 to fix it and I really liked my vacuum. The motor went out and slowly, it died. So I had to get a new one.

#2 - Last week, my dishwasher broke. The motor went out. I wasn't heartbroken because it is old and it was getting the boot when we install our new hardwood floors in the kitchen. (It was portable and leaked so I didn't want the wheels or water damaging the new floors.) It just made it that much easier to part with. However, I really hate doing dishes by hand. On the upside, my kids now wash their own dishes after each meal.

#3 - Tonight while I was doing laundry, my washing machine made this horrible sound and I thought it was going to break apart and flood the house. Luckily it didn't, and it actually finished the whole cycle but I'm pretty sure I'll be shopping for a new one tomorrow. Again, I am pretty sure its the motor.

So, hopefully we are done. I hope I don't have any more appliances that break and that truly, bad things come and end in threes. Also, can I just say Thank You President Bush and I promise I am now doing my part to help stimulate the economy.

Oh, wow!! What luck. That's terrible! I do want to hear more about the new hardwood floors, though! I love home improvements. We haven't decided what we're using our money with. Still trying to agree. :)

Wow! Wow! Wow! I do hope that three ends your streak of broken appliances! We've been there ourselves. I had to buy a new washer and a few months later, a new dryer. Now that was 9 years ago, that's why I'm getting new ones when we move. Tell my grandchildren that you used to go 'pearl diving' too, as my mother called it. Pearl diving means hand washing the dishes. You dive for pearls (dishes) each time your hands go into the water!
It's character building and they value how many dishes they dirty!
Love ya!

Wow! That is too bad--or way good, depending on how you look at it. It is always good to get new things!
