I love Utah, I don't mind the heat or the snow at all really. Mostly, that's because as long as my house is cooler than the great outdoors and my car has A/C and all places I frequent are cool, I'm ok. However, when any one of those things is off kilter...the whole world seems a lot hotter.
Last week on our way up to Garan's missionary homecoming, our A/C went out in our car. We drove up in 98 degree weather sweating the whole way. It is just under an hour drive. Then yesterday we made the Malad run which is just over 2 hours each way with no A/C. It was at times 104 degrees (according to our car). We almost didn't survive this one. We have debated whether or not to fix it at all until next year given that summer is on the downside, but after these two trips and our drive to Oregon next week looming over us, it just has to be fixed. So hopefully we can get it fixed this week.
Well, I didn't know that my kids weren't huge fans of the heat. Since they live in our pool, I guess I just assumed they loved Summer. When they were walking to the park on Thursday Tyler was complaining about how hot it was. Chris told him he should be grateful for the sunny weather because he could live in Oregon (sorry Oregonians) where they rarely, if ever (j/k) see the sun. Tyler got all excited and said, "There is a place that actually exists like that??!!! and we live here??!! Please let's move there!!!" Sorry Tyler.
