Happy Birthday Tyler!

I know I'm a few days late, but life right now is B-U-S-Y, BUSY! Tyler turned 10 on Sunday which is so amazing to me. I always felt panicky when I was younger because I could NEVER picture myself married with children. Even after I got married I could never see myself as a mom. Not that I didn't want to be, I just couldn't imagine it. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that I must die a tragic death somehow or would be unable to bear children. So here I am, 10 years later with 4 kids and I haven't died yet. Things are good.

Tyler is such a great kid. He has his moments like all kids, but he really is a good kid. He is always cracking us up with his personality and innocence. (ex. skinny dipping post below). He is like his dad and gives 110% to whatever he is into at the moment. We are so glad he's ours.

Tyler has started football again and we are so excited for this. We absolutely LOVE watching him play. It is really an area where he shines. The first day of practice all his old coaches were so glad to see him again. This year he came in under the weight limit for having to play lineman which means he will get to run the ball and he is very excited about that. In case you don't know..ha ha ha.. Tyler is also one TOUGH kid. The first day of practice they had the parents stand in as the kick-off return or receiving team while the kids blocked them. Tyler blocked his dad so hard, he fractured a rib. Chris is trying to be tough about it and refuses to go to the doctor since they don't do anything for broken ribs anymore. He just can't breath, or bend over, or be touched there, or lift anything or change a diaper...I think that last one is just a convenience thing. (I make him do it anyway). He says he's too embarrassed to tell the doctor his 10 year old son broke it. But now I've posted it here so we'll see how much trouble I get in. :0) Hee hee.

I guess that's all. I am really lucky to have my little Tyler. I love you so much buddy!! Happy Birthday.

I can't believe Chris got his rib broken! That will be such a good story to tell when he's playing college ball. Give 'em heck Tyler! And by 'em I mean the other teams of course, not Mom and Dad:)

Umm...was Tyler is uniform, pads, etc??? That would make a difference in the 'hit' or he IS one TOUGH kid without the padding!
OUCH! Usually they tape ribs don't they??? I can imagine Chris is hurting! Aside from hurting your dad, good job Tyler!
Love ya!
