Just when I thought it was safe to socialize with mankind again, I was wrong. Tyler started feeling sick last night and was up ALL night long. (Brooklynn thought she'd join the party and kept sneaking back into our bed. Seriously, every time we put her back in her bed, within half an hour, she was back.) So I took Tyler to the Dr. first thing this morning assuming he must have strep throat. I was right. Now they offer you so many choices. You can get a one-time shot, badda bing badda boom, all done. Or, you can take the 10-day oral treatment in a tablet you swallow, a chewable pill or the good ole fashioned pink syrup. Lauren opted for the syrup. She regretted it when she got home and wished she'd had the shot. So when Tyler realized this was probably what he had, he was all for the shot before we even left for the Dr. Until...he found out they give it to you in your BUTT!! If you know how modest this kid is, you will understand why 30 minutes later, we found ourselves at Costco waiting for the 10-day oral treatment! :0) Next?
And, can I just mention...the snow! What the heck is going on? The weatherman said it was an evening commuter special with 1-3 inches on the valley floor. Apparently, he can't measure! We're pushing a foot!

Sorry I deleted that. I can't spell sometimes! Sheesh! I left out one word!
I said, "Ahh, Tyler. Got 'to' love that kid! Remind him when he's 16 about the modesty! :o)
That is so funny about his "modesty" medical issues! How cute - although the whole sick kids for weeks on end is not cute for you!
I really enjoyed reading your post about New Years. Christopher and I are pretty un-sentimental about the holiday ourselves. I mean, we did the whole ball dropping in nyc one year because you sort of *have* to, but other than an occaisional party, most of our New Years' Eve's as a couple have been spent working on resumes, interviewing techniques, homework, or just watching a movie with a quick 2 second acknowledgement of the New year and then it's off to bed. Boring! =) Anyway, I agree - not my favorite holiday!
