Is there some secret law of the universe that states that when kids get sick they MUST throw up at 3am in the morning?!! Or that they must wait until clean bedding is put on? I should have gone to bed on time when I had the chance, (instead I got sucked into this STUPID show called "Toddler's and Tiara's" that made me really mad...but that's another story), so at 12:30am I was putting the clean bedding on my bed that I had just washed. At 3am, Brooklynn came to bed and snuggled up to me and then, promptly threw up. I mostly escaped except for my arms and hands which rendered me completely useless because I couldn't do anything (like grab buckets, towels, etc.) until I had cleaned up. Hands are pretty important in this situation. Then of course after changing the bedding, clothes, baths, clean-up, etc. and getting settled back in, I can't go to sleep because I'm on edge that any minute she's going to throw-up again. Of course I FINALLY fall asleep about the time the alarm goes off, literally.
Poor baby was so sweet during it all. Every time she throws up, she keeps apologizing for it. She is still sick and just lying around all sad and cute. Hopefully she'll be feeling better soon. I had really hoped we had escaped this flu bug going around, but I guess not. And as our luck goes, it's likely that with the nice long weekend just around the corner, every one will catch it. I'll cross my fingers though since we have a pretty busy weekend.
