So the season begins...we now pretty much live in our car. Lauren has already had 3 soccer games which have resulted in a record of 1-1-1. She practices twice and week and has two games a week. This year we moved up to Competition since we hadn't lost a game in nearly 3 years. It was suggested to our coach that we make that move and he agreed. Lauren's practices continued through the off-season with scrimmaging and conditioning and it was a good thing because we aren't in recreational anymore. The first two games were eye-opening and they tied the first (2-2) and lost the second (0-5). The third we pulled off a win (3-2) and are improving with each game. I am a lousy photographer and rarely ever get any good pictures as I'm too involved in watching the game.
Pink #9 - taking the ball downTyler has also started football and practices more than I ever did playing high school basketball! They practice 4 nights a week for 2+ hours. He loves football though and does really well. He had his first game and they won (7-0). Again, I didn't get any good pictures. He is one of the team captains and calls the defensive plays. He is an outside linebacker on defense, right guard on offense, the kick returner and the on-side kicker.
Tyler is #87 (Gray/Red) with his hand up to his mouth. He's looking to the sideline to get the play from the coach that he's supposed to call.McKenna will start her after-school clubs next week. She is taking a Food Arts class that sounds fun. You get to play with your food and make fun creations with food. Then a Clogging/Dance class. I can't wait to see how she likes that. She was pretty bummed she couldn't play soccer this year and I promised her she could take some after-school classes.
Life continues to be busy but we enjoy supporting our kids in their various activities and watching them develop new skills.

Fuuun! I want to play soccer and take a clogging class! Kids have all the fun:) Though I'm not sure mine will, hopefully I'll have your generous spirit when it comes time to tote all my kids around to different activities. I feel too tired to consider anything like that these days, maybe by then I'll have more energy?
Sounds like mom will be tired! That's a lot of support! I'm glad the kids like sports and stay involved. McKenna will be a killer at clogging! :o)
I always wanted to take clogging classes! That lucky girl. :) I can't wait to see some more of their games!
