By the time you read this...

...oh faithful readers you. All 5 of you. Our 30-day break from TV, computer games, video games, etc. will be over.

Did we actually do it?
Almost 100%. The only two times we turned on the TV at our house in the past 30 days was to watch some "religious programming" the past two Saturday afternoons, if you get my drift. We also did watch some in Idaho on Labor Day, but we were at my Father-in-laws house so I can't exactly tell him he can't watch TV in his own home.

How was it? I actually really, REALLY enjoyed most of it and it was no where near as hard as I thought it would be. I loved the quietness of the house, I didn't have to fight the kids to get off the computer or turn off the TV, there wasn't that distraction to compete for our very precious time, etc.

Did it solve our problems? Nope, probably not one bit. The kids still fight and yell at one another. That being said though, I still feel like it was worth it.

What was the downside? I think it was hardest on Brooklynn who has the most free-time on her hands who, once school started, had to entertain herself. Also, I didn't have anything to hold over the kids heads for misbehaving. Note to self: Next time don't take EVERYTHING away.

Would I do it again? Absolutely! (But not until Biggest Loser is over.) :0)

Wow I can't believe you were able to do that, what a challenge. We turned off our cable a few years ago and since the digital conversion we get one channel so we just watch movies. It is nice not having video game systems too, Cote would not be able to handle having them he gets a really bad attitude when he is allowed to play them. Great job and Amen on Biggest Loser!

I'm sold.
So please don't tell me when Biggest Loser starts. I won't be able to help myself.
