Gingerbread Fun
Lastly, on Saturday evening we decorated our Gingerbread House. Note to self: put the house together earlier in the day so that it has hardened before we decorate. Every year we have this problem. This year Chris helped the kids with the whole house while I watched and took pictures. By the time they were putting on the last of the candy the whole house was starting to collapse.
Tyler worked really hard to make a sleigh with Santa and a few reindeer. I thought it turned out really cute. He even used a candy kiss wrapper for the harness thingy.
Lauren and McKenna decided to be like rudolph and stuck candy to their noses.
Here was the finished house which had to be held together until the last second so I could at least get a picture.
Here's what is on display now. Because by golly if my kids are going to spend an hour fighting over which candy goes where, we are going to display it standing or not!

Ha! I've totally made that mistake before.
Hey girls, come and decorate this gingerbread house! Oh wait - we we're supposed to let it dry for an hour? Girls? Mind waiting an hour? No?
We found the gingerbread men to be pretty good for propping up the roof. Good Christmas-ey times:)
Gorgeous gingerbread house! Very nicely decorated and good job Tyler with the sleigh and reindeer! Those are cute red nosed girls too! :o)
I was totally hoping for the big news about the car on one of these posts. Crescent mentioned something this morning. I'm sooo excited for you guys. Finally you can drive over 20 mph, lol. Can't wait to see it.
MIchelle the kids are a hoot! That christmas letter to santa is so cute! I am sure he loved it! What an awesome idea of cutting the tree out of the backyard. I bought one a week after christmas a few years ago at home depot for 20$ it was 200. But it is a fake one. Hope you guys have a happy holiday
How fun! I remember the days of Gingerbread houses in my house and I have not yet worked up the courage to attempt them in our home.
They look great!
