Arts Night

The school puts together a Math and Arts night every year. You go to the school and play some math games with your kids in their classroom and then you can go get some pizza, cookies & drinks. They also have a little art gallery set up in the cafeteria for any students who want to submit any kind of art. While you walk around, other students with musical talents are playing. Lauren and McKenna both submitted some artwork and Lauren played a piano piece. I tried to convince Tyler to play a song too but he was a little nervous and didn't sign up. He HATES to play in front of others...just too nervous. But, after seeing a few of his friends play, he thought he'd give it a try. So he played a song he had memorized.

Lauren's Piano Piece. Please ignore the child picking his nose and walking RIGHT in FRONT of ME! He isn't mine...really. And, enjoy the dancing of Brooklynn and her friend Sara. You can't help but beebop along to "The Entertainer" can you?

What a beautiful family! High Fives to Tyler and Lauren for playing 'in public'! They say it gets easier each time. Maybe that is true for some people, but I would get sweaty hands and slippery fingers on the piano keys and be sooo nervous! Good job kids! :o)
