Easter-y Fun

On Saturday morning we got up early and headed to the city Easter Egg hunt. I hate this hunt and I don't know why we always do it. You wake up early, stand in line for an hour and freeze your butt off to get a dozen eggs that takes less than two minutes to collect for candy the kids don't really like. But, the kids love it.
The kids before the hunt beings.
Brooklynn and McKenna hunting for eggs and their goodies.

Later that afternoon we colored Easter Eggs. The kids managed to stay pretty clean and we had no major catastrophes. Success!
Easter morning we woke up to snow on the ground.
Needless to say we held our family hunt, indoors! Also, this year, Easter fell on Conference Sunday. It was nice because we didn't have to run around trying to get ready for church and deal with Easter baskets and such. We were able to have a nice relaxing morning and enjoy it and not have to take the kids to church loaded with candy. It was nice to hear conference and enjoy all the yummy traditions that conference brings like cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, conference cake (a.k.a. coffee cake), sausage and OJ.

That night we enjoyed a yummy Easter dinner on the "good dishes". Again, a total success considering we didn't break any of the china!
HAPPY EASTER!

Loved all the pictures! You had the kids 'dress nice' for Easter dinner. That's so nice! They look beautiful and handsome! When did you replace your blinds with curtains? I like them! ♥
