Guptill Family Reunion - Day 1 (Roller Skating)

One of the reasons for our trip was a family reunion in Oregon to celebrate my Grandma's 84th birthday! My cousin Angie and her family planned the whole thing and did a GREAT job! We had so much fun. The first day they rented out a community center roller rink so we could go roller skating. We had the whole place to ourselves. The kids had a blast and it was fun to visit with the rest of the family. All the kids except for Brooklynn know how to roller skate and are huge fans. McKenna usually prefers her own skates which we didn't bring but she caught on quickly. Brooklynn usually just likes to ride a scooter or use the little Fisher Price skates our rink lets you borrow so she had a harder time adjusting but still had fun. Chris opted not to skate and I gave it a few go arounds but thankfully there is no photographic evidence of that. We even got my grandma out on skates!! She didn't tackle the rink but did try to walk around in them. Word on the street is that she was a pretty good skater in her day. In fact, she just couldn't stand to see everyone out there skating and just had to try it herself.
Go Grandma, Go Grandma!

Lauren and Adelaide...my idea of skating...someone pushing "ME" around!

Brooklynn - as long as she held the wall, she was ok.
Oops, someone fell down.
