Last week was Chris' birthday. I was going to post something on the actual day and didn't get it done. Just chalk it up to being the worst birthday ever. I'm not joking. Poor Chris didn't have a very good birthday. I was talking to a friend who shares a birthday with Chris and she suggested a "half birthday" in March. Why? Well, September is super busy with the end of summer, starting school, sports starting and a million things that need to be "donated" to the school. By the time his birthday gets here, we are usually strapped. My birthday on the other hand is in March, right around the time we usually get our tax return and tend to feel like splurging. So maybe we'll just have to celebrate together next year. Anyway, it was a busy day as usual so we didn't do much celebrating but I thought I'd post some things here for fun.
Chris is a great husband. I can be pretty much a shrew most of the time and complain and bark orders to everyone. He is very patient and long-suffering. He works so hard so that I can stay home with the kids...two jobs in fact. I usually have every moment of his free time booked with kids activities, projects, babysitting, repairs, etc. He rarely has time to do anything he enjoys. And yet he NEVER complains. He is the first one to serve me or any of the kids. He is their number one fan and tries to attend every game or activity. He likes to cook and doesn't mind when I've had a rough day to take over. He is a wonderful husband and I am lucky to have him. Happy Birthday Honey!

Chris IS a wonderful all around guy! I hope he liked his gnome hat and beard. I watched Lisa make it while she was visiting us. LaRue and Tillie looked so cute modeling it! Even dad modeled it! Chris you look great! ♥
I think we need a good game of Hide and Seek - STAT!
Or at the very least, I hope he wears it while he works in the garden ;)
I agree that Chris is pretty wonderful. I think we should add to the paragraph of his virtues that he is also an extremely good sport, as is evidenced by this picture, which by the way, made me extremely happy:)
Aww, you guys are so cute together. Love the 1/2 birthday idea - I may need to do that with my kids at some point - given that ALL of their birthdays are within (or going to be within) 2 weeks of each other! I'll keep that idea in mind.
Happy Birthday, Chris!
