Lauren celebrated her 11th birthday on April 23rd. It suddenly just dawned on me this past week that next year she'll be 12!! Yikes. She was born on Easter day and this year was the closest Easter has been to her birthday since she was born. I have decided that I like having Easter a little further away. Waaayyyyy too much to do in one little weekend. She wanted to have a beach/pool party but since none of the pools are opened yet and the weather is so unpredictable we had to be creative. We decided to have a pool party at the rec center so they could swim. Since the rec center no longer has a party room, and it was raining outside, we had to get creative with our party.

Thank You Favors

Since there was no place to have cake and ice cream, we decided to make cupcakes and send them home with each girl in take-out boxes.

Earlier in the day, after the city Easter Egg
Brawl Hunt, Lauren opened her presents. She only asked for $100, an ipod, a new cell phone, a skirt, a watch and Bop-It. We opted for the later half of the list. Sorry about the blurry, crummy pictures....my camera stinks! Maybe I've mentioned that before. And the bunny ears were from the Easter Egg
Brawl Hunt.
After the party, we headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was D-LISH!! I think their rolls are my favorite rolls EVER! I'd be happy if all I had were rolls and a frozen pina colada lemonade. Lauren wasn't feeling so hot by this point but she was a trooper and rode on the birthday saddle while staff whooped and hollered at her.

After dinner we came home and sang happy birthday and went to bed. It was a long and exhausting day. (Sandwiched in between Easter festivities and the birthday party we had two soccer games.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN! WE LOVE YOU!!
