Hair Today...Gone Tomorrow

Well, I cut my hair, 12 inches. I'm donating it to Locks of Love in honor of my nephew Mason, my sister-in-law Michelle and two friends who have recently gone through and are going-through breast cancer. I have learned so much from each one of them as I have witnessed their faith and determination, watched miracles happen and been amazed at their positive attitudes. I admire them all so much for their strength, hope, examples and courage. I am blessed to be surrounded by such amazing individuals.

Cutting my hair is such a small thing but it's funny though how many people I talk to that can't believe I could cut it all off. To me, it's a no big deal and I'm glad that I can donate it. Recently I read something my sister-in-law said that I thought was very profound: "When you are stripped of your energy and the appearances you thought provided your self confidence, you discover the things that matter most - - and you ultimately find out who you are at your core."
*Disclaimer - the worst part of this post...posting pictures of me. Yuck!

Way to go Michelle! The last time I saw you your hair was to the shorter side, I had no idea how long it had gotten! (I am SO jealous of your thick GORGEOUS hair!) So the long hair pictures were more shocking to me:) I think you look great either way, and I think whoever gets a Michelle Gleed Hair Wig is pretty lucky:)

Also, love that quote!
