Country Report

In 6th grade the kids have to choose a Country to do a report on. I gave Lauren some suggestions like, "how about someone we know really well who has served a mission in that country and lives really close?" As I listed some of the options she was instantly drawn to Ukraine where our friend Matney served her mission. She was excited to sit down with her and find out all about the country. Matney had lots to share with her and several cool props to bring on the day of her oral presentation. On the day of her report she brought some Kvas to share with the other students. Matney warned us it was kind of gross and they probably wouldn't like it. (It's made from Rye bread) Most of the kids didn't like it but some of them couldn't get enough of it. They kept coming back for more and more. Anyway, Lauren did a great job and scored 536 points! 480 points was an A+ so she rocked it. Thanks Matney for all your help!!
I know it's hard to see but she is sharing her power point presentation.

Here she is sharing a Mace..a weapon used by early settlers.

GOOD JOB LAUREN!
