Lots of Updates...Part 1

Wow, where did April go? I was pretty sure Easter was last week and here we are at Mother's Day. So I have lots of updates and since this will someday go to press for posterity, please endure the long drawn out details.

Soccer....IT'S OVER!!!! I say that because while I love it, I hate it. It is such a busy busy 5-6 weeks. This year Lauren's team was HOT HOT HOT! They had a goal to score 80 goals in 8 games and they missed it by two. It was a lofty goal but they wanted to beat there record of 70 last season. This year they had one game that ended in a tie but aside from that, they were undefeated and most were blow-outs. They had one game that was 20-2. Lauren played great and had at least one goal in nearly every game. She had several shots-on-goal and played really well at forward. Her team is going competition this Fall so she is excited about the new experience and tougher competition. We really enjoy watching her games.
McKenna also played and did really well. Some days she was on fire. She scored 12 goals in one of her last games. Since Chris and I helped coach her team and she plays at the same time as Lauren, Chris would coach one half while I watched Lauren and then we would switch at the half. As a result, we had a hard time actually taking any pictures of her. But she had a great season and it was fun being on the field with her....even if I HATE the new "dual field" system...that's another story but we won't go there. She is going to take the next year off of soccer and try some new things while mom and dad try and figure out how to juggle Lauren's competition soccer schedule and Tyler's crazy football schedule. She wants to take swimming lessons this summer and gymnastics in the late Fall. Since we didn't get any pictures this season, this one is of her last game where it POURED!!! The girls were great and played like there wasn't any rain. The parents...we weren't so thrilled.
McKenna wasn't in this picture but that is the head coach under the umbrella. You can't tell from the pictures but it was really raining.

Now, we have three weeks off before the next round of activities begin!
