My Little Boy is Growing Up

Tyler celebrated his 11th birthday on Monday. He told us the only thing he wanted was an electric scooter. He'd give up all of his presents, his party, his cake and ice cream, everything! He really wanted this scooter. So we went ahead and made the deal. He is really happy about it. I think he enjoyed his day. He spent it swimming at 7-Peaks water park with his friend Spencer, we ate at his favorite restaurant and I even made him a cake and had some ice cream. Thank you to everyone who sent him a gift and/or money.

Tyler also started football this week. This year he has a new coach who seems to really be on the ball and knows what he is doing, which hasn't always been the case in the past. Also, we are really excited because this year we have 24 players which is about 10 more than the past two years! The coach had told all the boys that they would NOT be playing both offense and defense since we had enough players which made him a little sad because he does like playing both sides, however, the coach told Tyler and his friend Spencer yesterday he needs them on both sides. He is really excited about that. Also, Tyler and Spencer are the defensive captains for the team. I'm so excited about this season. I can hardly wait for his first game.

And lastly, Tyler had his first campout this weekend! He was SOOOOO excited. He has been looking forward to camping for-ever. I'm happy for him but nervous. I hope he makes it home in one piece.

Wow! Happy Birthday, Tyler! I still remember when he was born, so when you said it was his birthday, of course I still assume he's turning, like, 3! I seriously can't believe he's 11!
