Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis...that's the word that did Tyler in. He was in the school spelling bee this year and that is the word he misspelled. When I was typing it in, I misspelled it. Thank goodness for spellcheck. The school tells the kids to start practicing before Christmas and some kids take that very seriously. The first time Tyler participated in the school spelling bee he/we studied like CRAZY. We practiced everywhere we went and he worked really hard. The day of the spelling bee he was SO nervous and misspelled a really easy word in Round 2. This time, he told me he wanted to try again but he wasn't going to study at all and wanted to see how far he got. Whatever. He came home after the class competition and was so excited to tell me he won a spot. I felt bad that some poor kid who probably studied his brains out lost. Anyway, he ended up doing pretty good for a kid who didn't study. He made it to Round 5 and was in the top 13. You could tell he wasn't nervous at all..and you could also tell he hadn't studied when they said the word and he was like "psycho what?" He also didn't cry like most of the kids when he lost. He was so happy he made it as far as he did without studying at all. Punk!

Good job Tyler! David loved spelling bees and did very well. He studied his ears off in 7/8th grades and only made it to about Round 3, some of those words I had never heard of!

Michelle--love your new background. It's the same one I was going to do, but changed to the pink flowers. ♥

Yay Tyler! When I was in seventh grade there was a spelling bee and I was so excited! But I was ousted during the in class try out because I couldn't differentiate between bale and bail. The worst part is a few days later they started over or something and I thought "Yay! A second chance!" And guess what, I couldn't differentiate between pale and pail. I wish I was kidding.
