Brooklynn's First Field Trip

I was able to go with Brooklynn on her first field trip this year. She has been looking forward to this day FOREVER. She would count down the days and she'd bring me her special new field trip shirt about once a week and tell me she couldn't wear it because she had to save it for her field trip. She was also super excited to ride the bus for the first time. She was pretty cute about the whole thing.

The actual field trip was a little more than I had signed up for though. I thought we were just going to the pumpkin patch but this was a field trip on steroids! They really packed in a lot. First we stopped by the Utah Conservation Garden and learned about conserving our water and what kind of plants we should plant here in Utah. It was a little over the kids heads but they seemed to enjoy smelling the different plants like lavender and some kind of plant that smelled like lemons and feeling the lambs ear. Next we walked over to Krispy Kreme for a tour and free donuts before catching the bus to Pumpkinland, the highlight of the trip. Afterward we drove through UVU to collect some pretty fall leaves before heading back to school. She had a blast and was so excited to get a little pumpkin of her own.

On the bus for the first time! Jaden, Warner & Brooklynn

What a very memorable and fun trip for both of you! She looks quite happy about the whole affair! That's quite a pumpkin she's sitting on! ♥
