After our crazy busy day, we headed to the park to celebrate McKenna's birthday with her friends. We decided to keep it low-key because I hadn't planned on having a party but all of her friends with birthdays around hers had just had parties and she was feeling a little left out so I caved. We had a "kite/outdoors" themed party and pretty much just let the girls play. I had planned for some games but they were so content just playing that I skipped them and let the girls all play.

There was lots of swinging,

playing,

bubble blowing,

chalk drawing,

and some kite flying

After some playing we called the girls over for cake and otter pops (McKenna's request) and gifts.

This is what I wanted for cupcakes, but I just ran out of time.

So this is what they got. I know the kids don't care at all, but I did. If you know me at all, you will know how much this bothered me.

McKenna with all her presents

I think they all had fun and McKenna had a great time with so many of her friends. It was a nice, easy party and I was able to throw everything away and didn't have to clean up a huge mess. We sent all the girls home with kites as a thank you. Happy Birthday McKenna!
