While in Idaho this weekend, Lauren begged me to try and "fix" Sally. Ha! As if there is anything I could do to make this poor thing look any better. But, I gave it my best effort and in the end, she did look a little better.
Unfortunately, Sally had a little run-in with Tyler a few months ago and was from then on, lovingly referred to as "Franken-Sally". Yes, he was punished...harshly. You don't mess with Sally.
The first order of business was to remove her right leg and swap it for her tail. Something happened and half the stuffing was lost and one leg was embarrassingly shorter than the other. So, off came the leg and on went the tail. Then we put the short leg back on as the tail. It works, sort of.
Success, in a too-short-tail sort of way.
Then it was time for a bath. Who knew a little soap and water could make such a difference. You can't tell as much from the pictures, but it was the difference between night and day!
I think we might have bought her a few more months. Maybe.
